On your remark how to use it in VR I want to point out the new KnobXP plugin that sim innovations have created.
This makes the Knobster a multifunction dail knob for all knobs in the cockpit. It can be made Airplane specific and at no additional cost.
I purchased and use one after the release of KnobXP.
I was part of the process as they developed it. It’s really nice and I have been meaning to write about it.
