Microsoft Flight Simulator – volumetric clouds

The event took place at Rainier Flight Service facilities, located in Renton Municipal Airport and it comprised of a presentation as well as an hands-on session where we had plenty of time to get in touch with the new iteration of the veteran sim.

I’m not sure how to see if anyone has asked this, but, has Microsoft tried or will they try to acquire usage rights for Google Earth data? I feel like Google Earth has a lot more photo scanned places than Microsoft does.

Google and Microsoft are competitors in that area and Microsoft obviously wants to boost their product, not the competitors’.
