DreamFoil Creations shows blade slap research for their X-Plane helicopters • HeliSimmer.com

On a post on the DreamFoil Creations Facebook page, Fred has shown a debug tool he has developed. According to him, “each line represent a blade tip vortice, the bright green areas are the ones which interacted with blades causing a slap”.

Interesting…On other websites I can find that bladeslap produces the distinctive sound you sometimes hear when helicopters descend or make a turn. Are there any other effects (besides the sound) that come with bladeslap? For example in performance, vibrations or handling?

Thanks!
