AW139v2.1 FMS XMLTools64.dll FIX

Hi Folk! I am adding this post to help those who are having trouble using the AW139v2.1 FMS in P3Dv4 and v5.
If ‘0.’ appears in the FMS scratchpad, it means that the XMLTools64.dll module ( required to perform all FMS functions) is not running correctly in the Sim. Unfortunately some old third-party modules follow different paths from the previous versions v2 and v3 of P3D, so it is also necessary to update the ‘old’ dll.xml file present in a different path than the one described in my AW139v2.1 user manual .
IMPORTANT!!! The simulator must be turned off when performing these operations!
So:

  • if you have p3dv4, open the path: C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
    if the strings below are not present inside:
    <Launch.Addon>
    XMLTools64
    XMLTools64.dll
    module_init
    module_deinit
    </Launch.Addon>
    you need to add them before the last string called:
    </SimBase.Document>
  • if you have p3dv5, open the path: C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5
    if the strings below are not present inside:
    <Launch.Addon>
    XMLTools64
    XMLTools64.dll
    module_init
    module_deinit
    </Launch.Addon>
    you need to add them before the last string called:
    </SimBase.Document>
